At gRub, traditional barbecue meets the flavors of Florida and the islands. Our menu features cherrywood smoked brisket, honey glazed ribs, mojo pork, peri-peri chicken, smoked wings and creative sandwiches alongside fresh salads, flatbreads and house-made sides.

About CHEF Ben
Owner/Chef Ben Sato
While growing up on Anna Maria Island, Ben Sato discovered how special it is to bring people together over food.
After attending Johnson and Wales University, Ben worked at the restaurants of renowned resorts throughout Florida, including The Key Biscayne Ritz-Carlton, Sunset Key Resort, Hollywood Beach Marriott and the Longboat Key Club.
Throughout his successful career Ben fell in love with BBQ. After years of traveling, cooking and researching, Ben presents his take on his favorite cuisine at gRub, in his hometown of Anna Maria. Tropical BBQ cooked traditional smoked style, in an island atmosphere where he hopes friends and families will gather for years to come.
